About Dev Bhoomi Group Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutes saw the first light of the day in 2005 under the aegis of UUS. Uttarakhand Uthan Samiti – a non profit educational society, founded by Shri Sanjay Bansal, a visionary, committed to transformation of individuals into future responsible, sensible and meaningful corporate citizens, giving them the edge of preparedness and creativity to competition.
Dev Bhoomi is surrounded by lush green gardens by covering around 250 Bighas of land, in the picturesque location of the lower Himalayas with a salubrious climate. The atmosphere is calm and serene enabling the students to concentrate on their task and knowledge enrichment. The Institute is about 15 Km from Dehradun city, of Chakarata Road.

About Dev Bhoomi Institute Of Technology for Women “Dev Bhoomi Institute Of Technology For Women (DBITW) is latest feather in the crown of Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutions, professionally managed by Uttrakhand Utthan Samiti(Regd.) Keeping in tune with the upsurge in technical developments, as well as to meet its social responsibilities the samiti committed to the cause of quality education, established another temple of learning DEV BHOOMI INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY FOR WOMEN (DBITW), Dehradun in the year 2005,as fourth unit of Uttarakhand Uthan Samiti. This is the first engineering college in Uttrakhand exclusively for the girls. All courses offered by the institute are duly approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Uttrakhand Technical University,Dehradun.
Courses Offered:
Eligibility Conditions: Eligibility: 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Maths/Computer. Entrance Exam: 85% Seats are filled through the AIEEE exam & counseling by State Counseling Board of Govt. of Uttarakhand. Lateral Entry: Admission in IInd year is eligible for diploma holders (having 60% marks), appeared in UTEEE exam & counseling by State Counseling Board of Govt. of Uttarakhand.
Management Quota Seats: 15% Seats are Management Seats, for which admissions are given to the registered applicants at the Institute level on the basis of Govt. Guidelines. Counseling for these management seats is held at the Institute after the State Counseling gets over every year. It is mandatory to appear in AIEEE.

From the Desk of the Chairman Globalization has indeed arrived on the wings of Science & Technology and is here to stay. India, being unshackled & unchanged from regulation & dogmatism has umpteen opportunities before it. The paradigm shift became inescapably imperative by the sweeping changes across the globe. This shift can be met only through the process of interactive learning with focus on the real time environment. Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutes (DBGI) has been paying special attention to the value accretion of students & right from its inception, has been conscious of its obligations towards the placement of the students. Our endeavor here is to prepare them for complex professional roles in a changing society and arm them with the ability to work effectively & efficiently, across professional boundaries, so that they can emerge as leaders and innovators in their chosen professions. Academic Facilities: The multistoried majestic building of DBITW is having excellent infrastructural facilities. In addition to classrooms, there are several required no. of laboratories. These laboratories are housed with the latest lab equipments, measuring instruments, scientific modern gadgets & Computers for conducting purposeful experiments & research or innovation.
Faculty: The DBITW has a highly qualified, experienced, dedicated and motivated faculty and supporting Technical Staff. Besides regular faculty, visiting professors from eminent Institutions are invited on regular basis to augment the teaching and other academic works.
Computer Center: DBITW has spaciously designed fully equipped state-of-art Computer labs with underground network cabling and centralized controlling equipments for monitoring network workstations. The students avail Computer facilities on one-to-one basis for long hours. All the Computers in the labs are networked and 24 hours Internet facility is available through leased line of speed of 2 Mbps.
Entire Dev Bhoomi Campus is Wi-Fi enabled.
Laboratories: The learning experience at DBITW is a judicious blend of theory & practice. These labs are equipped with latest instruments and Computers for conducting experiments. There are adequate no. of hand operated and power operated machines and tools, supported by jigs, fixtures, tools and are operated in the separately constructed floors of laboratory blocks/workshops. All Engineering courses are designed as intensive programmes with the aim at creating strong academic foundation with exhaustive practical exposure.
Library: DBITW library is well-stocked with a wide range of books, journals, newspapers, statistics, periodicals, prescribed titles and the reference materials. It is opened to the students from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on working days. The library also has a wide and relevant collection of CD-ROMs, e-learning materials and audio-visual aids on different subjects.
Transport: DBITW has its own fleet of buses for students and staff for easy mobility. The Institute has 16 (54 seater) buses.
Hostel: To cater the needs of outstation students, DBITW has in-campus hostel accommodation with quality mess facility.
Canteen & Mess: The Institute provides canteen and mess facilities to the students, faculty and staff. Most of the daily need items and refreshments are available with in the campus at the canteen, which remains opened from 10:00am To 8:00pm
Co-Curricular Activities: Institute has enough facilities to organize various indoor and outdoor games and sports viz. Cricket, Hockey, Table-Tennis, Chess, Volley-ball etc.
Cultural Festivals: Every year a series of cultural activities is organized in which students show their hidden talents in the various cultural events.
Technical Festivals: Paper Presentations, Software development contests etc. are organized throughout the year to provide a platform to show the insatiable desire for innovation and excellence.
Value Addition Modules: Corporate Training Center: DBITW has also the provision to offer advance training on Industry specific courses viz CCNA, SCJP, LINUX, DOT.NET, and Robotics.
Seminars & Conferences: Seminars and conferences are regularly organized to make aware the students and faculty members with latest advancement in the field of Technology.
Training & Placement: The Group has a training and placement cell to provide appropriate placements to the students. In DBIT (Another engineering college of the group),B.Tech batch (2005-09) placement drives for are going on with full swing. Various MNCs of repute viz IBM, ICICI, Karvy, IDBI, Wipro, HDFC, Innovators Inc. etc. have already visited the campus.
